Thursday, August 7th
Dave had a lot of activity this morning. Some how his IV line was pulled out so they had to place 2 peripheral IVs in his right hand. These 2 IVs took 6 attempts before they were all said and done! Then this afternoon they decided to put in a central line by his clavicle, like what was pulled out. The 2 IVs in Dave's hand were going to inhibit him from being able to do PT and consequently get out of bed. They are still planning on the CT scan tomorrow to check the bile drainage situation. Dave did start draining more bile today than was draining yesterday. Dave has had the hiccups today but he has not had any breathing episodes yet, PTL! Thank you for your prayers.

It is so exciting to read daily the progress Dave is making. Getting outside yesterday and being up for so many hours had to be so exhilarating! For all of you! Tell Jiree, I am serious about coming over to see you all. I need to know what you want from the Iowa State Fair.... anything on "a stick" ???? I have a house full of company right now. Will write more later.

Dave,
You don't know us but we know who you are and have seen you in the pharmacy. We attend Faith Bible Church with Penny and John and have had more than our share of prayer requests. GOD is still on the throne and you and your family are in our prayers. My the grace and love of the LORD GOD Almighty abide richly inside you, and may the hand of Christ hold you close to HIM. Be blessed, Thy will be done.
Yours in Christ,
john & Melanie
Dave & family,
I understand the ups & downs of pain, and I would only say that the Lord knows what He is doing. There are times when I truly felt like I couldn't go another minute, and yet His grace was sufficient. I certainly don't pretend to know all you are going thru, but I know that our timing is not Gods. Rod Goertzen said this weekend that the Bible NEVER says the Lord "ran" anywhere, and yet He was never late. Hang in there Brother, I am praying for you everryday, and know that Gods healing hand is upon you.
In HIS Grip.....Chuck Haefele
Lots of good news to be thankful for and encouraged by! We continue to lift you all up in prayer, and will be there again soon to see you.
Love and prayers,
Mike and Jeanie
