Dave had HD (fast dialysis) today and his blood pressure remained stable!! Doctors have told us as soon as he can tolerate HD they will be able to move him from ICU to a regular bed. Dave had 2 units of blood and was also given iron during dialysis. We have not yet received the results of the CT scan from Monday. They did culture out the bacteria Clostridium difficile from Dave's stool. They are treating this with Flagyl, a very strong antibiotic. Dave is getting 6 cc of "food" through his feeding tube, however, the "food" is no longer being diluted! Dave has been really tired today, dialysis always wears him out. PT and ST are to come in later this afternoon. Dave's temperature is looking good at 97.7!

What WONDERFUL news!
It's great to see the picture of Dave and Diane outside. That had to feel so good for him! We are praying for Dave's continued progress.

Keep up the progress Dave. The Norris Moms In Touch group, continues to lift you in prayer. As difficult as it is to go through the storms, you are being used by HIM in a mighty way. Keep the faith!

What great reports. Things look like they are on an upswing.
Hey Carp, did you ever think downtown Omaha and fresh air would be used in the same sentence?!
Love you guys,
Penne
Every day seems to bring more signs of progress. We are so happy to see the words "regular bed" on the blog, and will be praying fervently to that end. We continue to pray for God's abundant grace on all of you, and for Our Magnificent Lord to strengthen Dave's body, moment by moment. Love to all of you,
Brad & Jackie

PTL! Oh what fantastic news! A regular bed, where Dave might be able to get a little more sleep. Woke up less then in ICU hopefully! Praying that Dave can tolerate the flagyl. (That is indeed, a very strong antibiotic that makes me even super sick!)
Prayers and more prayers coming your way for all of you! (Thanks for the update Jiree! Miss you! Hope to come see you in August when Alison flys into Omaha for the Iowa State Fair! :-) !!!! Want me to bring you any kind of food on a stick? hahaha)
Love and xoxoxo

Dave, we at the Bessey Ranger District are visiting your blog site regularly. Our fire crew member, Tyler, who was one of the EMTs at your accident & my husband who helped out at the accident site, follow your progress. My husband & I have requested prayers for you at our church. Thomas County Rescue hosted a free will donation smothered burrito luncheon last Sat. to raise $ for a new rescue vehicle which can better access our trails. $1900 was raised. We'll continue to pray for you & your family.
Patti & Chris Barney
We rejoice with you!
