Monday, July 21st
We hope you all had a great weekend. Dave had a couple days off of dialysis, which I think he enjoyed. Dave is uncomfortable right now, he just had a CT scan this morning and taking in all the contrast always makes him feel 'full'. Dave is about to get another unit of blood as well. The CT scan was done because the doctors can't determine why Dave is requiring blood transfusions on almost a daily basis. Previous scans haven't shown internal bleeding. Please pray that the doctors again 'have the eyes of God'. At 12:30 he will go down to intervention radiology and have a tunnel catheter put in. Dave had a kind of 'temporary' catheter for dialysis before, but they are prone to be an entry point for bacteria, so his was removed and he will get his new one today. The tunnel catheter is a more permanent type and should be more comfortable as well as safer. After the procedure to place the catheter, they will try to put Dave on dialysis, but his blood pressure and clotting off has prevented any long run of dialysis lately. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Glad to hear that Dave got a few days off! We continue to pray daily for Dave's recovery and for the strength and wisdom of the medical staff caring for Dave. You are all such a great testimony for us! Take care and God Bless!

Hi Carpenters:
Today I read the blog and got caught up from two days ago. You know considering what Dave had to endure from the beginning until now it's a blessing to see how much he has improved over these weeks. It is also wonderful to see him outside getting some fresh air or should I say HUMID air! :) We missed you both at the elders picnic! It has been a joy to talk to Harvey and Nate at church. They update us too! Mike and I want to come and see you both soon. Dwight Oswald preached at the Hills today and asked the congregation to continue to keep praying for you. We will certainly be doing that. We love you all, Mike and Lanna
Praying that the scan will lead Dr's to a more conclusive resolve! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as possible as well. Thanks for the update Jiree! I'll check the blog tonight when I get home from work for today's update.
Love and Prayers to all of you!

We are heartsick at learning today that you were in this accident. That being said, you are such a wonderful person Dave having gone above and beyond in your thoughtfulness and kindness to both my wife and I as our pharmacist. Your kindnesses are something we deeply appreciate more than you can know. It is our belief that these will return to you and your family 10 fold! We will regularly hold all of you up in prayer before our Great God for His continued favor upon you and your healing.
God's Richest Blessings to You,
Jerry and Bonnie Gass
